Materials Learned in Unit 2-Places

 In this Unit 2 we learned about Narrative and Descrpitive writing, Places, Simple Past and Past Continuous Tense, Synonyms and Antonyms, last but not least Geographical Features

 First we're going to talk about Narrative and Descriptive writing,in Narrative and Descriptive writing we talk about:

-Sensory Language

-Vivid Verbs

-Descriptive Adjective

 Sensory language,are language that use 5 human senses. Vivid verbs are verbs that are replacing general verbs with more interesting and enjoyable verbs. Descriptive writng is the largest group of adjectiveto visualize readers about what is going on in a story.

 Second, we're going to talk adjectives to describe places and synonyms and antonyms about adjectives describing places. The adjectives are: ancient, beautiful, boring, bustling, charming, contemporary, compact, cosmopolitan, fascinating, lively, picturesque, touristy.

 Third, we're talking about Geographical features. Here is what we learned in Geogrphical features:

-Canyon

-Isthmus

-Delta

-Island

-Pangaea

-Butte

-Mesa

- Plateau

-Plain

-Volcano

-Mountain

-Glacier

-Strait

-Peninsula

 Fourth we're talking about places, The places we learned is:

-Café

-Airport

-Bakery

-Bookstore

-Church

-Court

-Pub

-Hotel

-Gallery

-Cinema

-Parking Lot

-Gym

And other else..

Last but not lease, Simple Past and Past Continuous

If Simple Past Tense: Subject+Verb2+Object

If Past Continuous: Subject=Verb2+-ing+Object

 In Past and Past Continuous Tense, we learned about when, while and as

-Use while for two actions in progress at the same time

Ex: She was talking while he was driving.

-Use as to introduce longer actions

Ex: They arrived as I was leaving.

-Use when when telling about sequence of events

-We also use when  to talk about an event that is immediately followed by another event.

Ex: We entered the class when the bell rang

 We also learned about punctuation with when, as, and while

-When, as, while at the front of a sentence,use a comma

Ex: When you called, I was watching TV.

Ex: As Abby was cooking the soup, Jason knocked the door.

Ex; While he was washing the clothes, I was doing the dishes

So that are all the stuff we learn in Unit 2 in Sec 2!!!
